I spent about 40 years of my life doing "church." Funny thing was, I didn't know God. If I could sum up my early years, what I was told was that if you said you believed in Jesus, when you died you'd go to heaven. Sounds good. I guess I was waiting to get to meet this Jesus character then. In the meantime you go to church. Do stuff. When my life got train wrecked, I couldn't wait. I had to know who God was in the here and now. My life depended on it.

I went on a journey with God to find out who He was and what He wanted from us - from me. Over the last 15 years, what I've learned is that most people who are going to church are missing, well, EVERYTHING. We say we believe in a God we don't know or count on, and report that we've given our lives to Jesus but rarely consult Him or His Word on how to run our lives. Not a big shocker why our lives are a mess. Why people are scared and stressed. Why people feel unfulfilled, without purpose. Been there, done that.

The things God has shown me, taught me, refined out of me, pruned off of me, and poured into me is more than I could fathom! He's the greatest love of my life, my #1, my rock, comforter, counselor, protector, friend, Father, and King. I hear from Him, talk to Him, laugh with Him (He's really funny), and pour out my guts to Him. I've learned I don't have to worry (at all...about anything), fear nothing, and that I can have joy and peace in my life every single day. For real.

God wanted me to teach you all how to have that too. It's totally doable. It's not easy but it will be a ride you won't believe. It's the thing that will get you out of bed and that you'll show up everyday for. It's the thing you've been searching for everywhere else.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe God "is patient, not wanting any to perish but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

We believe that "God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

We believe that in Jesus "the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily." (Colossians 2:9)

We believe that Jesus Christ is "the way, the truth, and the life," and that "No one comes to the Father [God] except through [Jesus]." (John 14:6)

We believe "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

We believe Jesus "is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high," (Hebrews 1:3)

We believe "Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him." (Hebrews 9:29)

We believe that all scripture is "God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that as believers in Christ that "our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a Savior from there the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so they will be like His glorious body. (Philippians 3:21)

We believe every believer in Christ will "forever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

We believe "if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." (1 John 1:8)

We believe "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." (1 John 4:8)

We believe that every believer in Christ is the "temple of the Holy Spirit." (1 Corinthians 6:19)

We believe in the unity of all believers since we are "baptized by one Spirit into one body" (1 Corinthians 12:13) and recognize the value and equality of all people who are part of the body of Christ. We are "all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)

We believe believers in Christ have "different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit." (1 Corinthians 12:4)

We believe that Jesus is the only one who can save us because "salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to man by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

We believe that "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" and can fully redeem and powerfully use even those who believe that they are "the worst." (1 Timothy 1:15)

We believe all believers are to follow the Great Commission and "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," (Matthew 28:19)

We believe that our love of Christ will compel us to "be doers of the word, and not hearers only," James 1:22
